Just one of those days…
I know I’m not alone when I say that some days just don’t go to plan. For me, today’s one of those days. I tried and tried to come up with something inspirational and positive to say for today’s post but, I hate to say that I just wasn’t feeling it. I wanted to post something small, rather than nothing at all for today. So here’s a very short post on what to do when it’s just one of those days.
1. Take a deep breath – You know that thing where you inhale and exhale slowly (air, not drugs)? Try to some of that. Properly. And by properly I mean breathe in through your nose until you feel it right in the pit of your stomach. And then breathe out like your stomach is a deflated balloon. Feeling better already, yeah?
2. Drink tea – There’s no scientific reason behind this point, but tea always helps to make me feel better. There’s something so relaxing about a cup of tea, a few biscuits help as well, of course. All the tea lovers out there will understand this one.
3. Take a break – Read a magazine, watch YouTube videos, go for a walk, write a blog post or just have a bath, whatever you love the most, do it. Taking a break from everything and having a few minutes to yourself can do wonders. If you think about it, thanks to our phones, we’re never really alone. A few minutes (or hours) of ‘me time’ is always good, and it’s almost guaranteed you’ll feel better and refreshed afterwards.
4. Get ready to go again – Whether you’re just having a ‘meh’ day, or a really really bad day, don’t forget that tomorrow is coming. A new day, a new start (super cheesy, I know) and a new beginning. So no matter how you feel today, tomorrow brings so many new opportunities and chances to make that day better.
