Never before has a brush release made me so excited. The Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection had the beauty world in a frenzy – and when pictures of the Flat Contour Brush emerged, things got a little cray.
The higher price range of this collection, compared to other Real Techniques brushes, made me a little bit unsure. But, when you think about it €28 (the price of this brush) is still more affordable than a MAC or NARS alternative. And, judging by the amazing quality of the regular range of Real Techniques brushes, this luxe range was going to be incredible.
The Flat Contour Brush was the only brush from the collection that I picked up as it’s like nothing I own (and the stunning gold handle sucked me in, not gonna lie).
Literally from the very first use of the brush, I fell in love with it within 10 seconds. I pressed it onto MAC Harmony and lined the brush snugly under my cheekbone, ran it along underneath and bam – the perfect contour. I genuinely couldn’t believe it.
No more uncertainty of where to contour your cheekbones or thinking you’ve over done it, this brush does all of the hard work. It gave a really nice, strong line that I blended out by lightly dusting the brush over it and working the product in in small circular motions.
No matter how big your brush collection is, I highly doubt you’ve anything like this in your stash. It’s definitely worth picking up – it’s basically instant cheekbones, and it’s gold, what’s not to love?!
i really need to try some of the real techniques brushes, every blogger who tries them seems to rave about them! id love it if youd comment back http://www.amyelizabethfashion.com/2015/03/5-things-tuesday-thoughts.html xx
