I was delighted to see a few days ago that the lovely Ginger Loves Makeup (link here) invited me to do the 7 Deadly Sins tag. It’s a fun post to write and to read, so I hope you enjoy reading and I tag any fellow beauty lovers to do this tag! 😀
Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?
This is something I really had to think about. I’m more of a high-end makeup gal than drugstore, I love the quality of high end products and the sheer luxury that comes with buying them. I buy less high end products, than a huge amount of drug store ones though. I’d say my most expensive beauty item would have to be my MAC brushes (more than one item, sorry!) They’re expensive but last years and wash really well. Real Techniques brushes are becoming a firm favourite, though!
Wrath: What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with?
I had a love/hate relationship with my Benefit They’re Real mascara for months. I kept stabbing my eye with the sharp plastic brush and it took ages to apply – I prefer good results fast. I grew to love it, though, but I never turn to it if I’m in a rush.
Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?
MAC definitely takes up most of my makeup collection. I started buying MAC years ago, and my collection has grown over the years. I pick up most of my MAC makeup in New York when I go at Christmas time, it’s much cheaper there and lasts me the whole year!
Sloth: What product do you ignore the most due to laziness?
I always avoid applying bright lipsticks whenever I can. I never seem to have the time when I’m getting ready to apply lip liner and I never find the time during the day to reapply – Revlon Lip Butters are starting to change that for me, though. 😉
Pride: Which product gives you the most confidence?
Without a doubt, foundation. Coverage + colour + glowiness = confidence for me!
Lust: What item is at the top of your list?
I would love to try NARS Velvet Matte Lip pencils – thanks to Vivianna Does Makeup
Envy: Which makeup product/look looks great on others but not on you?
A black smoky eye is something I wish I could pull off, but I just can’t. Smokey eyes always over power my face and I end up looking like someone punched me, not a good look.
