Desk to Dinner Makeup | Sorted

Not many of us have the time to completely redo our makeup if we’re heading out straight after work, so here are my essentials that I use to transform my makeup from day to night. Given that I don’t often have a lot of time to touch up my makeup, these products are quick and easy, getting you from the office to the dance floor in no time!

Instead of applying a whole new face of foundation, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer tops up my makeup where I need it without looking patchy or cakey. MAC Mineralise Skin Finish mattifies any shininess that’s inevitable after having makeup on for a few hours, while MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Dark works well as a bronzer, adding a bit of colour and shading to the face. Applying mascara on top of dried in mascara usually doesn’t turn out too well, but I use a quick sweep of Soap & Glory Thick & Fast mascara to give my eyelashes a boost, and also coat the bottom lashes. A dash of MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush along my cheekbones, in the inner corners of my eye and under the brow bone gives the face a lovely sheen, and I do this using my fingers – a bonus as no extra brush is needed in my makeup bag! MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee along the waterline real intensifies the eye, and turns day-time eyeshadow into a night-time look. What kind of post would this be without a statement lip? M.A.C. Red by MAC is the ultimate desk-to-dinner makeup product, just make sure you top it up after indulging in a chocolate cake 😉

It was a total accident that most of these products were by MAC, what can I say, they’re my favourite high-end brand!

Thank God tomorrow’s Friday – enjoy your night, whatever you’re doing!
