March Favourites

Image

The end of another month means only one thing in the beauty world – monthly favourites! I love looking back on all of the products that I rediscovered and enjoyed using throughout the month, although I do find it slightly scary that we’re already into the second quarter of the year! The start of March meant the start of spring for me, so a lot of these products were used with sunny weather in mind, although it was nearly always raining outside. Let’s get started then…

Bioderma //

If you read my blog regularly (thank you if you do!), you’ll say ‘But Amy, you just wrote a post on how Bioderma isn’t worth the hype?’ Yes, I did, but I was just saying that I don’t think it’s worth all of the hype it has received. It’s still a great product, but I was expecting so much more when I bought it. It’s great at removing makeup with ease, which has made my skincare routine a lot easier this month. I’ve a feeling I’m going to get even more use out of it in the warmer months when a full coverage foundation isn’t needed.

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette //

Since picking this up in New York and falling in love with it, I couldn’t be happier that Wet n Wild is now available in Ireland. These eyeshadows are really pigmented, and match up to the quality of MAC eyeshadows, in my opinion. I loved using the four green-toned eyeshadows for a St Patrick’s Day look, and can see myself recreating it throughout the year!

Real Techniques Blush Brush //

This brush filled a big gap in my collection – a fluffy brush for bronzer. I like using dense, smaller brushes when I’m looking to contour but this brush has been perfect for warming up my face and faking a bit of a glow as the days are getting warmer!

Benefit Hoola //

Thanks to reorganising my makeup storage I found a much-loved but long-forgotten bronzer – Hoola by Benefit. This applied with the Real Techniques Blush Brush has made for the perfect ‘I tan really easily’ look on my otherwise pale face.

Origins Gin Zing Moisturiser //

This product is made for spring skin. It smells like oranges and is a really lightweight formula that brightens and revitalises dull skin. Using this underneath my foundation has made my skin go from dull to bright, plus the orange scent is nearly enough to wake you up on its own.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream //

*Slightly* warmer days call for a lighter base, and Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream has been doing the perfect job at giving a lighter base while still providing medium coverage. It’s buildable, so I apply a bit more in the places that I need it, along with concealer on top. The finish isn’t shiny nor matte – it’s the perfect ‘spring’ skin. Plus, it contains SPF 35 so you don’t have to worry about the sun damaging your skin.

L’Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara //

I wrote a whole post on this a few days ago, so I’ll try not to babble too much. This mascara gives length, volume and is totally waterproof. Perfect if you plan on spending the warmer days at the beach, and also perfect if you’re a bit of a crier like me.

What have your favourite products been this month? I can’t wait to try out new products and see what April brings!

I’ve been eyeing the Origins gin zing skincare for a while. It doesn’t irritate your skin at all?

It doesn’t irritate my skin whatsoever! The citrus scent gives the impression that it’ll be harsh on the skin, but it isn’t whatsoever. It’s really gentle and can be applied right up to the eye area without causing any irritation at all xx

I’m desperate to try Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, it looks amazing. I also love the Real Techniques brushes so I’ll have to give the blush one a go because I don’t have that yet! Nice picks 🙂 xx
