Boots Haul & First Impressions

3for2 in Boots can mean only one thing – a beauty hall! Although I didn’t go crazy, I thought I’d share with you what I picked up.

Cutex nail varnish remover and Boots cotton pads were essential – I go through these so quickly! But then I was faced with the task of what makeup to buy. I needed a new mascara, so I picked up Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme! Waterproof Volum mascara. My first impressions aren’t too good though, I’m afraid. I tried Colossal mascara and loved it before, but really amn’t a fan of the clumpy brush and formula on this edition. It gives good volume but loads of layers are needed to get a good effect, and the brush is really messy. I’ll keep using it though in the hope I’ll suddenly love it!

I repurchased Collection Lasting Concealer in fair. I absolutely love this stuff. It conceals dark circles, blemishes and doesn’t break me out.

I’d been dying to try No. 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush, so I bit the bullet and got mango sorbet. The orange/coral shade is totally different to what I’d usually go for, but I totally love it. It’s really easy to apply and is really blendable. Cream blushes are great for spring/summer so I can see myself using this for quite a while!

Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve also picked some stuff up in the 3for2 offer, I got the exact same mascara except I didn’t get the waterproof version. I’m finding mine to be quite good, perhaps it’s because it’s water proof? I’ve always found that waterproof formula isn’t quite as good. I’ll have to try out that cream blush, I’ve never used a cream blush before! great post 🙂
