The At-Home Spray Tan

A few weeks ago I was kindly sent Gorgeous Bronze – Salon Tan At Home to review. It couldn’t have come at a better time – the weather in Ireland had started to pick up and a false tan would be the only tan I’d get this summer.

I’ve tried liquid tans, mousse tans, cream tans, but never an at-home spray tan. The concept for this tan is to bronze the skin while also reducing the appearance of cellulite and other flaws.

At first I was wary that the spray would shoot out like a mist, turning the walls of my room from white to brown, but I’m glad to say it didn’t. The spray was really different to what I had expected. I had imagined a replica of the salon spray tan nozzle, which I suppose is impossible to achieve at home. This worked out to my advantage, however. If the tan had sprayed all over like a mist, it would have been impossible to reach the back of my legs and get an all-round colour on my body.

The product came out in big sprays, which I was disappointed with at first. But it turns out that it was much easier to rub the product into the skin with a tanning mit, which made sure that the tan was applied in an even layer all over, and that there were no white patches.

The tan had no smell at all, which I love, and dried almost instantly. It wasn’t sticky or tacky as the product itself is so fine and air-like. I used the shade Light-Medium, which was just perfect for a natural glow. Two or three nights of applying this would give a darker colour, but a more natural effect than applying one really dark layer.

When I woke up the next morning after letting the tan soak in while I slept, I was golden and bronzed – not my usual milk-bottle colour. Some of the product washed off in the shower, but I actually preferred how the tan looked after I washed the residue off as it was more even.

A gorgeous spray-tan glow without the price of the salon – I can see myself using this all summer so I don’t look like I haven’t seen the sun in months!
