Currently Obsessed | Maybelline Dream Sun

Beauty products don’t get more summery than this. I picked up Maybelline Dream Sun in the shade Golden Tropics while I was on holidays three weeks ago and I haven’t stopped using is since. The product itself smells like summer in a tub. Sun, sea, sand, heat – I have to refrain myself from sniffing this constantly. It smells so good.

The blush is a pretty pink, which isn’t ‘powdery’ at all and is really buildable. Powder blush has always been something I just couldn’t get the hang of applying, but this one here has changed the game. It gives such a lovely flush to the skin and blends in perfectly. I just wish that the blush section was bigger. I can just about fit my blush brush into it now, but if I keep using it at this rate there won’t be any left very soon. I must pick up another one…

The bronzer is a much lighter shade than what I’d usually go for, but boy am I glad I tried it out. It’s a really light, warm toned bronzer that isn’t orange or cakey at all. Bronzer has become an essential part of my everyday makeup routine since I started using this. The bronzer is perfect by itself for during the day, but I layer it up at night. I use this bronzer as my bronzing ‘base’ when I’m going for a more dramatic look. Look at me getting all fancy, eh? It’s perfect to outline where you want to contour more heavily, so you can put a darker bronzer on top without getting the orangutang look that can happen from too many heavy layers.

Dream Sun is really affordable for less than a tenner, and is worth picking up for just the smell alone! I can see this being a makeup essential all year round.

That bronzer/blush duo would come in so handy for on the go. The blush shade is really pretty too. Too bad I haven’t spotted this in the drugstores here yet..
