Valentine’s Makeup – Sorted ♡

The girly side of me really comes out when I see anything Valentine’s related – chocolate, teddy bears, The Notebook… But it is makeup where my heart truly lies, even though I do love a box of Butler’s chocolates. Here are the products I’ll be using this Valentine’s Day to make a soft, romantic look, although I won’t look so soft and romantic when I’m shovelling a double chocolate fudge cake into my mouth. Dewy and girly, but still done up, is the look I’ll be going for, and I think these products will really give that effect. The Naked 3 is basically made for Valentine’s Day-themed makeup looks, don’t you think?

Base – MAC Strobe Cream, NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer : These products give a luminous, glowy base that it still high in coverage, but natural looking – success!

Eyes – Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Inked in Pink, Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, L’Oreal The Super Slim Liner, Ardell Wispies : Maybelline’s Colour Tattoos are perfect for using as an eye-primer that gives a shimmery pink tint, and well I’ve expressed my love for the Naked 3 before, link here. A winged liner will make this look a bit more flirty, while still being girly and Ardell’s Wispies lashes will totally complete the look.

Blush, Highlight, Bronzer, Powder – NARS Orgasm Blush, MAC Cream Colour Base in Hush, NARS Laguna Bronzer, MAC Mineralise SkinFinish in Light : NARS’ Orgasm and Laguna have made a really big name for themselves in the beauty world, and for good reason. Orgasm gives a glowy pink flush, while Laguna gives me cheekbones that I never had before. MAC’s cream highlighter is soft and blends well into the skin, making you look lit from within. MAC’s MSF powder in Light is translucent enough to apply on top of all of the other products without ruining the work you’ve done, and keeps your face shine-free all night.

Eyebrows – MAC Brow Liner in Strawberry Blonde : I love using this pencil for evening looks as it allows you to create the perfect brow shape and control the amount of colour you’d like to apply. It is slightly more heavy than a powder, but still gives a natural effect when applied well.

Lips – MAC Plushglass in Ample Pink : This lipgloss is a 2in1 product for me – it is really pigmented, like a lipstick, but gives a great shine to the lips. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t wear off easily, perfect if you’re going for dinner and don’t want to get lipstick all over your face.

I hope that everyone enjoys their Valentine’s Day, no matter what you’re doing! Even if I was just sitting in, I think I’d try this look anyway just for the sake of it :’)
