Moisturiser is one part of my skincare routine that I found really hard to incorporate. Some moisturisers were too heavy, too sticky or my makeup slid off as soon as I put it on top. But that all changed with Origins GinZing moisturiser.
What really sold me on this moisturiser was its ‘energy boosting’ claims. While I knew it wouldn’t actually give me energy (imagine a moisturiser that could do that?!) I hoped it would brighten my dull skin. After using this for a few months, I can safely say that this moisturiser brightens and gives the skin a boost of ‘energy’ on application.
The formula is really lightweight, which I love, and dries into the skin easily. A little goes a long way with this, which is great because of the high-end price tag. My skin is quite sensitive and isn’t very dehydrated, and this product has caused no reactions. I feel that some moisturisers can clog your pores and cause breakouts, but the lightness of this moisturiser ensures that your skin is moisturised without clogging the pores.
I apply this moisturiser every morning after cleansing. It dries in quickly so makeup can be applied straight away. The gorgeous citrus scent is nearly enough to wake you up in the mornings, but can still be applied right up to the eye area without stinging or irritating the skin.
It can be used both in the morning and at night, but I just use it in the morning as I prefer something heavier for night time.
I’d really recommend picking up this moisturiser – it smells great, the formula is lightweight and it’s perfect for spring/summer.
