False Lashes in a Tube

I’ve tried many mascaras that claim to give a false-lash effect, but none of them had actually stood up to the claim until I tried Maybelline Lash Sensational.

Maybelline is my go-to brand for mascaras – the Rocket and Colossal being two of my favourites. So as soon as I heard about the new Lash Sensational mascara, I snatched it up straight away.

At first the formula was very wet and hard to work with, so I opened the mascara once every few days for about a week to let some air in and to make the formula a bit thicker. Once I did that, I couldn’t stop using it.

Believe it or not, I actually thought “This mascara makes my lashes look too long!” But hey, I’m not complaining. I love the plastic brush as it gets right to the root and grabs every single lash. It’s not spiky or sharp, so it doesn’t stab you in the eye like some plastic bristles can. I always curl my lashes before mascara as they’ve no curl in them naturally, but this gives them an instant boost of volume.

It does everything you want a good mascara to do – lift, curl, separate and lengthen. It doesn’t flake or smudge, even on the bottom lashes.

I didn’t buy the waterproof formula but still it can be pretty tough to remove. Just a micellar water won’t do the job, so it’s handy to have an oil-based eye makeup remover for this one.

Since I started using it I’ve felt no need to use false lashes for nights out, dinner or usual false-lash-wearing occasions – it’s that good. Whether you’re a mascara lover or not, you need this one in your collection, trust me!

I like the “This mascara makes my lashes look too long!” thought. Too bad. I don’t think I can get this in Singapore.
